Motivation is one of the key factors affecting teacher performance. This study aimed to examine the relationship between teachers' motivation and their performance in an educational setting. This research was driven by the increasing attention given to the motivational aspect of improving the quality of education. The hypothesis suggested that higher motivation had a positive impact on teaching outcomes. This study used a literature review approach, analyzing previous research articles published between 2016 and 2024, focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Findings showed a significant correlation between motivation and teacher performance, with motivated teachers showing greater creativity and dedication in teaching methods. In addition, motivational factors also contributed to better student learning outcomes by fostering a more engaging learning environment. The results of this study highlighted the importance of developing programs to improve teacher motivation, which could improve education standards. In conclusion, motivation played an important role in improving teacher performance, which was crucial for advancing educational goals.
