Abstract

This research is entitled "Guidance for Groups Based on Islamic Religious Teachings to Improve Honesty in Scavengers in Sukawinatan". This research is based on the dishonesty carried out by scavengers in their daily lives, especially when scavenging. In general, scavenger families have an inadequate economy, especially in the field of education, almost all of the scavengers cannot continue their school due to economic factors, so some of them are not aware of the importance of honesty. The purpose of this research is to improve the honesty of scavengers in Sukawinatan through the guidance of groups based on Islamic religious teachings. The methodology used in this study is to use a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study consist of 6 scavengers who have reached adolescence to early adulthood. The application of group guidance was carried out in as many as 6 meetings with Islamic activities such as dhikr, prayer, reading the Qur'an, and hadith. The result of this study is that there is an increase in honesty in scavengers in Sukawinatan, this can be seen from the changes in behavior they show when conducting group guidance and after group guidance activities.
