Abstract

This study aims to develop a RIASEC Carnival Media based on Holland's theory and to find out its feasibility and practicality in career classroom guidance services. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) limited to the Develop stage. The research subjects included one content expert, one media expert, one school counselor, and 12 students from grade XII at SMAS Yayasan Perguruan Bandung, Deli Serdang Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The product consists of six RIASEC boxes (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional), brochures, posters, career exploration sheets, and a guidebook. The research results showed a feasibility of 88.00% from content experts and 88.89% from media experts, while practicality reached 93.33% from guidance counselors and 92.83% from students, both categorized as very feasible and very practical. This media can be used as an alternative for classical career guidance, but its effectiveness on career development or decision-making still needs further testing.
