Abstract

This study is entitled "The Role of Internal Media of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of South Sumatra Province in the Religious Moderation Campaign". This study aims to determine the role of the internal media of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of South Sumatra Province in the religious moderation campaign and to determine what are the supporting and supporting factors in the religious moderation campaign through internal media. The method used in this study is the qualitative research method, Data collection techniques in this study use observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can answer how the role of the internal media of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of South Sumatra Province in the diverse moderation campaign can be seen from the communication process with the following 5 elements; who, says what, through what channel, to whom, with what effect. using the Harold D Lasswll communication model and all are answered in the research results, The supporting factors in the diverse campaign moderation are the support and maximum active involvement from the leadership and supporting and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors hinder Human Resources (HR) in the field of website management and routine activities regarding religious moderation which can hinder the public relations team from disseminating moderation messages optimally through internal media such as websites and social media.
