Abstract

This study analyzes the values of da'wah in the 7-day wedding tradition in Pedamaran Village, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency. This tradition is a blend of local culture with Islamic values that are passed down from generation to generation. This study aims to determine the implementation of the 7-day wedding tradition and the da'wah values contained therein. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that in the 7-day wedding tradition in Pedamaran Village there are da'wah elements that reflect Islamic values, such as mutual cooperation in Kocek-kocek'an, reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an in the marriage contract, and prayers and marriage advice by religious figures. In addition, there are also elements of tradition that are contrary to Islamic teachings, such as the Blanger ritual or bathing flowers. The conclusion of this study is that the 7-day wedding tradition in Pedamaran Village has da'wah values that can strengthen Islamic teachings in people's lives, although there are still some elements that need to be adjusted to Islamic law. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between local culture and Islamic values in community life.
